What visitors say
Tour of the house was excellent. Fascinating history of a grand 20th century Manor House brought alive by Edward - our guide. Lovely gardens including a lake and a surprising cricket ground with pavilion within an idyllic setting. Not open all year. Check website for details.

Well worth a visit. The views from the terrace were truly marvellous. We were lucky enough to have a private tour, as everyone else chose the earlier slot for the house tour. Knowledgeable guide made for a very informative visit. Never seen anything like the stables & the laundry rooms, so luxurious. A few seats for infirm or tired visitors would be helpful, just for future reference.

Well worth a visit but you do need to check when it's open. Great house, pleasent gardens and very informative guides. Despite some posting here THERE IS NO ON SITE CATERING, nor has there been for some years. Take a pinic to have in the grounds and have your coffee before you arrive

We were there two weeks ago. The gardens are great for walking around and having picnics, which many, including us were doing, in April. The story of the house was complicated and captivating. The tale was told to us with great knowledge and skill by our superb guide Edward. Would highly recommend.
