About Holme Farm Camping
Holme Farm Camping unfolds along the River Rawthey with picturesque views of Holme Fell, offering large, flat pitches where campfires crackle under the stars—firepits and logs are available to buy. The site provides all the essentials for a comfortable stay: hot showers, clean toilets, a washing-up area, plus electric and non-electric options. It's a genuine walkers' paradise, with fells beckoning in every direction and dog-friendly policies year-round making it ideal for four-legged adventurers.
While some visitors note the facilities can feel a little tired in places, the peaceful riverside setting and generous pitch sizes more than compensate. With fishing and golf nearby, plus water and drainage hook-ups for tourers, Holme Farm strikes a fine balance between wild Cumbrian charm and practical amenity.

What visitors say
Stumbled across this site on the way back From Scotland. Only stayed one night but would definitely stay there again when we visit the area. Friendly welcome. The field is huge and very quiet. Loads of space. Lovely walk along the river. Has extra bathrooms on the field. Great shower.

Great campsite and it’s a well looked after area. Secluded and private with a great scenery. Upon arrival you’re given a firepit and wood (u need to buy) which is a nice welcome. There are 4 showers and 4 toilets of which 2 are shower and toilet together. Basic amnesties but they are always kept cleaned multiple times a day and is stocked with tissue and soap. Since it’s a big place and the place can get busy it would be nice to have more toilets and showers either in the same place or on the opposite side. Also at least another washing basin which would be good in a roofed area.

This campsite is really beautiful and quiet. The toilets were clean and the showers warm, there were only about 5 other groups camping which meant it wasn’t too busy but also not deserted. There is a lovely river right beside it and you can walk down by it and swim/paddle. On the Sat night we had a pizza and it was decent. We also borrowed a fire pit and bought logs for extra which was worth it. Would definitely come back again, the owners were lovely too!
