About Premier Inn Sheffield City Centre Angel Street

With 160 rooms spread across six floors, Premier Inn Sheffield City Centre Angel Street is a sizeable base right in the middle of the city. Each room comes with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and drinks-making facilities, and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. A lift serves all floors, and reception is staffed around the clock.

The on-site restaurant serves breakfast with a good range of choices, a strong point for many staying here, and the team on hand are consistently described as friendly and ready to help. Rooms themselves are kept clean and comfortable, making this a reliable option for a straightforward city stay.

The hotel sits close to Sheffield's Winter Garden and the surrounding shops, with a pub or bar within easy reach and entertainment nearby for evenings out. Golf, fishing and horse riding are all available a short distance away for those wanting to venture further. Parking is chargeable and located nearby rather than on site, and it can get busy, so it's worth planning ahead if you're driving in.

A wonderful hotel once you understand its quirks. Large and clean rooms. You can have as much tea as you want and the kettle was clean. You need to notify the staff everytime you want your room cleaned. The restaurant is cozy and it had a very good steak dish. The chiken skewers were too dry on my opinion. The staff were polite and fast.

Stayed here at the weekend to see a show at the City Hall. It was a good location in terms of proximity to attractions in the city centre, but didn't seem like it was itself situated in a good area, with run down streets, graffiti and closed down businesses close by. The service was good, with the limited interactions we had, as we did not use the facilities such as the restaurant. The front desk agent who checked us in was friendly, as was the agent who took our room keys upon the departure. We did book a Premier Plus room, but was somewhat disappointed. The room was very tired looking, with lots of chipped paint in and around the bathroom and bedroom. The cleanliness was somewhat lacking with only the more high traffic areas covered, and the rest somewhat lacking. The 'Premier Plus' room seeming like it was that in aesthetic and name only, but didn't seem as enough of a difference or special enough from a standard room to warrant the price difference. I would stay here again, but only if I needed a convenient central location.

Premier Inn - Sheffield City Center The hotel is in a Great location being in the middle of the city. Minutes away are Lidl, McDonald's, Poundland, GDK and Wendy's. staff are warm and welcoming and the rooms are tidy and clean. Having free WiFi when you stay here is nice but it's throttled, paying extra for faster internet is not recommended and you'll get better internet using your own mobile network. I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel and couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. The room was absolutely lovely. What truly made my stay special, though, was the incredibly thoughtful gesture I received on my birthday. A kind member of staff (she mentioned she was from Bury, though I didn’t catch her name) surprised me with a beautiful gift bag delivered to my room. It was completely unexpected and really made my day. It’s rare to come across such genuine kindness and it made my stay all the more memorable. I would happily stay again and highly recommend it to others.
