About Travelodge Sheffield Richmond
Travelodge Sheffield Richmond is a low-rise, two-floor budget hotel set beside the A630 Ringroad on the eastern edge of Sheffield, close to Rother Valley Country Park. It's a functional, no-nonsense building rather than a characterful one, built for convenience over charm, with easy reach of both the M1 motorway and Sheffield city centre.
The 65 rooms are simple and practical, each with an en-suite bathroom, a desk and a flat-screen television, plus drinks available in room. Accessible rooms are available, and pets are welcome. Parking is on site, though it comes at a charge, and there's an electric vehicle charging point for those who need it. Reception operates around the clock, which suits guests arriving late off the motorway.
There's no restaurant on site, but a restaurant, eatery, pub and bar can all be found nearby, along with a golf course and other entertainment options. It's a hotel built for practicality rather than indulgence, well suited to overnight stops, motorway breaks or short visits to the Rother Valley area.

What guests say
I stayed here for one night. Staff were very helpful and polite. I had to check in late as my daughter had just given birth the night i was checking in and the lady i spoke to reassured me that my room was still available as i was worried as it was very late by the time i arrived they might of thought i wasn't coming, so i called the hotel which was answered quickly.. The hotel staff are all very friendly. The beds were clean and comfortable. Rooms a bit dated and could do with a new touch of paint and new carpets but overall the rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. There is no Hair dryer in the rooms and I'm not sure if travel lodge supply them so remember to take one if you use one. I had the Family room and it was very spacious. Fan was on in the room when i arrived which was very nice and a low ambient light in the room as i entered as it was past 11pm i arrived. I've given 4 stars for the rooms as they could do with a lick of paint especially the dark blue paint as it had lots of marks on it, but overall i really enjoyed my stay here. It can be a little noisy when people are walking down the corridor but that's to be expected in staying in any hotel. My stay was a great price. And i would definitely stay here again. The cleaning staff all do a fantastic job as well, as a former cleaning business owner they have cleaned to a great standard and deserved to be recognised for their hard work. Spotless room and very clean bathroom. 5 Stars for the Staff and Service 4 stars only because the owners of the travel lodge need to pay to upgrade and paint the rooms. Your staff work so hard and do an excellent job running your chain of hotels they deserve to have an updated hotel with freshly painted rooms.

We spent two nights in a room on the ground floor. That was a positive as we didn’t need to climb any stairs after a long walk. The floor in our room though was really squeaky and you couldn’t move for the noise. We were given one hand towel and 1 bath towel for two people for two nights. I think everyone should expect their own towel. The room was clean and had the usual, kettle and complimentary sugar, coffee and tea. There appeared to be plenty of sockets however those by the bed didn’t work at all even though they look quite modern. As you are on the ground floor it would also be nice to have a net curtain as there were two men up to no good outside the window when we visited. I was also woken up by people arguing after midnight too. It’s a shame because the staff were nice. There was only 1 chair in the room too. Again, I think the number of chairs should be based on the number of people in the room as with the towels. There was plenty of parking but you have to pay £3 per day for parking. You are next to a petrol station and if you need anything more than the petrol station provides you can find a Lidl a 10 minute walk away.

Location was great for Sheffield arena, there was no service as there the breakfasts are just a box to take back to your room. Room was clean and spacious but very dated. And constant smell of weed by some of the guests smoking it outside the main doors but obviously the smell followed them around.

Location and Staff are great, but Travelodge really need to change how they heat/cool their rooms, that's not just this hotel, heater was turned off and had window open and room was still extremely warm. Unfortunately due to the location of this hotel next to two busy roads this meant alot of road noise due to having the window open (there isn't any noise if the windows are closed though)
