About Ibis Budget Sheffield Arena

Rooms at Ibis Budget Sheffield Arena are compact but functional, each with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and a bed that guests consistently find comfortable. Family rooms and accessible rooms are available across the hotel's five floors, reached by lift, so there's some flexibility depending on who you're travelling with. Don't expect much space to spread out, but for a night or two before an event or an early start, they do the job.

A continental breakfast is served each morning, and there's a bar and snack bar on site for something quick without heading out. Extras include electric vehicle charging, luggage storage and pet-friendly rooms, useful for guests passing through rather than settling in for a long stay. On-site parking is available but comes at an extra cost, worth factoring in before you book.

The location on Attercliffe Common puts guests within easy reach of Sheffield Arena, along with nearby pubs, restaurants and other eateries for evenings out. Transport links around the city are straightforward from here, making it a practical base for arena visits or short trips to Sheffield.

The rooms are very clean. Toilet is seperate from shower pod. Basin is in the room. Sleeps 3 people with a single bed above double. No socket at side of bed which is a problem for me as I have a res med needs to be plugged in while I sleep. (I recommend to bring a extension lead.) Towels and shower gel provided. I would just say a basic clean room. (Look at my pictures.) Handy to bus stop for Meadowhall etc. Parking is over £8:00 for guests.

An okay budget hotel. Fantastic location if you’re visiting Sheffield Arena or the surrounding area. Less than a ten minute walk to the tram stop to take you into central Sheffield. Staff were friendly and check in was simple. Rating lowered by the rooms which were basic, hard beds, a weird smell and cramped bathroom with no extras (such as no shower gel in our dispenser). Fine for a flying visit, but definitely on the ‘budget side!’

After reading some very negative reviews I was quite apprehensive about this hotel, however we had a very positive experience. Check in was quick and efficient. The room was clean with a comfy double bed, we both slept really well. The hotel is on a busy road but we didn't hear any traffic noise at all. Shower was lovely and powerful. There isn't a kettle but you can get hot water from the machine in reception or pay for a hot drink. There were snacks available and a fridge with a good choice of drinks including alcoholic. The hotel is literally a 5 min walk to Sheffield Arena and maximum 10 min walk to the tram stop.

Just wooowww Jurgen on the night shift is an absolute legend. Professional, welcoming, calm under pressure, and genuinely one of the best hotel staff members I’ve ever met. He turned a late-night check-in into a first-class experience. Ibis is lucky to have him !! !!!!! Excellent 👍
