What visitors say
We visited on a Friday in October for the Armadillo experience, it was amazing! We loved the zoo, it was not overcrowded or overwhelming. The animals enclosures are filled with games and food and they all seem to be pottering about doing their own little things. The otters were especially having fun running around, we watched the otter talk which was very informative and the lady running it was friendly Our Armadillo experience with Simon was lovely, we met Poppy the three banded armadillo and Doris the six banded armadillo. Simon was very friendly, funny, and knowledgable! We came away feeling very happy after we held poppy and fed Doris, but also we felt we learnt so much about them I’d really recommend this experience and the whole zoo is just lovely! The staff and volunteers were helpful and answered any questions we asked 😊

My wife and I had a fantastic time at the zoo. The highlight was the Otter and Lemur experience. Jack our guide was very knowledgeable and funny as he takes you to visit these adorable animals. It’s a great balance of thoughtful insight into the creatures themselves, the plight of their natural habitats and funny stories of how cheeky they can be. It’s well worth a visit to support the zoo and the great work that they do. Also to get some of the cutest pictures of these beautiful animals.

What an experience. Me and my partner had a VIP experience with the Otters and it was absolutely amazing. The otters keeper Jack was very welcoming and friendly from the get go. He was funny and very knowledgeable about the otters (Eden, Trent, Clive and Don) and answered any questions we had. We got to feed the otters from the little holes off our hands which was just the cutest and then we got to go into the enclosure to feed them some more and then got to see them play and swim. It was such an amazing day and would totally reccomend to anyone who loves otters. They are just the cutest. Before the VIP experience as the cost includes entry to the zoo we got to walk around and see all the different animals and even fed some goats and tiny horses. It was wonderful to see all the animals including meerkats, ferrets, armadillos and many more. Wonderful place to visit for kids and adults alike.

Visited for a VIP experience for my daughters birthday. Simon was brilliant so full of knowledge and love for the animals. Great selection of animals to choose from. Kids loved Samba the Genet and Freya the Fox. I got to hold Woody the Armadillo which made my day as they are one of my favourite animals. Highly recommend the VIP experience. We will be back to do the Otter experience next. Thank you for a wonderful day.
