About Small Batch Campsite
Small Batch Campsite occupies a National Trust valley at the foot of the Long Mynd, around fifteen miles south of Shrewsbury, where paths lead directly from the pitches onto the Shropshire Way and the heather moorland above. It's a deliberately stripped-back site aimed squarely at walkers and cyclists who value dawn starts on the hill over creature comforts – expect basic toilets and showers, limited electric hookups, and grass pitches that can turn soft after rain on this sloping ground.
There's no shop, so most people stock up in Church Stretton beforehand, a short drive or longer walk down the valley. Dogs are welcome. The site works well for those splitting a trip between Shrewsbury's town centre and serious hill country, though the distance makes daily commuting impractical. Families seeking playgrounds and pools should look elsewhere, but for hikers wanting to be on the Long Mynd at first light, the location is exceptional.

What visitors say
Such a pretty site. Basic toilet block but adequate for our stay. Nice location for walking. There are two very nice pubs within walking distance. We are at both and would recommend. Church Stretton is a lovely little town to visit and seems like they have a great community.

An absolutely amazing way to spend our last night on our Welsh road trip. Pam could not have been more accommodating and lovely! The site was pristine, nestled in a small valley surrounded by Bluebells and had such a lovely atmosphere. Quiet, peaceful (aside from the songbirds which was the soundtrack to our escape from home) and the facilities were spotless! Thanks Pam. The girls and I had a fantastic time and we will absolutely be back.

Overall, this is a great place to camp. The owners, Pam and Oscar Prince, are the perfect hosts. The scenery is beautiful and there are many walks and place to explore in the surrounding area. I had a short stay between the 26th and the 28th of September. Yes the facilities could do with a little upgrade however this did not detract from me enjoying my first solo campervan overnight stay. I will certainly be visiting small batch camper site again.
