Wigmore Lakes

What a lovely quiet tranquil site. Just happened to book on here on way home from Wales in our motorhome, fully serviced pitch . Huge, lovely lakes, added bonus chippy at end of the road that also sells bread milk and a few other bits. The shower and toilets adequate. Will definitely come again

Just had a lovely weekend stay at Wigmore lakes with our friends to celebrate my birthday,we had booked 2 lodges.I received a call on the morning of our arrival where I was offered to pay a refundable deposit of £100 either over the phone or cash on arrival. As I opted for the over the phone payment our lodge keys were in a key box at the door of the lodge, and was emailed all info required to enter. On arrival Bob greeted us and was very helpful and friendly and showed us to our lodges. Our was lodge 1,it was lovely and clean with fresh towels on the beds with a welcome pack of tea coffee and biscuits and a full bottle of milk in the fridge this was a lovely touch even though we had bought all of these things with us. There was a cleaning pack under the sink but again we had all of those as well. The kitchen was well equipped with a washing machine and a dishwasher and a fridge freezer. A broom, Hoover and a iron and ironing board were also supplied. Extra cutlery could do with being replaced as there were only 3 knives and we were sharing from our friends in there lodge. Number 1 lodge faced the back field and had a beautiful view. The hot tub was clean and very warm we used this each night of our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was very powerful although if both showers are used at the same time the pressure does drop in the en suite shower. The surrounding site is very well maintained and my husband is very much looking forward to fishing when we return for a week's stay in May. We travelled into Welsh pool and had a nice couple of hours in the village pub and stopped at Morrisons to get some extra essentials (alcohol) on our return. 3 laundry bags were left for us to put the towels and bedding in on the morning we were leaving . Bob came and cleaned the hot tub and again was friendly and chatty before we left. The lady in the reception waved as we were leaving the site. Over all we all had a lovely relaxing stay in a very clean and comfortable lodge and are looking forward to our next stay.

It’s advertised as luxury accommodation believe me it isn’t don’t waste your money. You have to test up the bedsheets off yourself when you leave and the state of the bed and covered long hairs everywhere and as for the hot tub it bleached our swim where I got chlorine burns on my legs cause it must’ve been too strong but as I say it’s advertised as luxury accommodation believe me it isn’t the Park’s okay it says you have to pay £110 for the key and you had that back when you left we only had 100. I know what I paid and it was 110 wouldn’t recommend going there unless you like fishing that’s fine. We won’t be going back.

First time visiting by myself and best mate Wayne Davies. It will not be the last. A wonderful place to go. Great accommodation. Comfy beds. Hot tub. Very clean. Minor criticism. Could do with a few larger saucepans. We sent a video to other family members and they will be coming to Wigmore. Brian Hynes
