The Old Barn is a detached cottage just outside Church Stretton where everything happens on one level. You walk in to find the living room with its woodburner (available November to March), a kitchen and dining space with a utility room housing a washing machine and tumble dryer, and three bedrooms arranged around the property. There are two bathrooms, each with a shower cubicle and heated towel rail. A king bed, a double, and a single give flexible sleeping for up to five guests.
The cottage sits on a private plot with parking for two cars. Outside, a paved patio overlooks fields, and there is garden space where you can watch birds or simply sit. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; heating is oil-fired central. One dog is welcome at no extra charge, though it must be kept on a lead as sheep graze nearby. The property is non-smoking throughout. Children and babies cannot be accommodated.
Walking routes leave from or near the property, and the Shropshire hills are within reach. The owners arrange fishing access to two on-site pools stocked with carp and tench, though this incurs a fee. Even without a rod, you can walk the banks or picnic beside the water, though note the pools are deep and unfenced. Church Stretton village lies close by for shops and pubs.
