We booked for a weekend away in our motor home not knowing that it was Silverdales 70th anniversary weekend. Fantastic entertainment for both days we were there. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Facilities were immaculate. Restaurant was really good, best seafood ragatoni I have ever had. My wife had a prawn salad absolutely covered in prawns. Really good value for money. I cannot recommend this site enough

The best touring park by far ive ever stayed at £50 a night 2 nights minimum for a fully service pitch- direct connections for electricity, fresh water, and wastewater (grey water) drainage right on your pitch. With a pool for kids, such fantastic facilities. quiet and well kept touring park with rules and families are nice and everything goes quiet after 10pm. They have quiet rules that are enforced even during the day. Quiet Hours: All loud noise, including televisions, radios, and general raucous behavior, must cease between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m.Considerate Daytime Levels: Noise must be kept to a considerate level throughout the day.Warden Patrols: Wardens actively patrol the touring fields during the evening to maintain a peaceful, family environment.Consequences: Unacceptable noise or aggressive behavior may lead to you being asked to leave the park without a refund.

We’ve been coming to Holgates Silverdale every few years for decades, and it has always been one of our favourite places. We stay in one of the caravans, enjoy the setting, and the pool has always been a highlight (though it was closed for a day this time). The site is still lovely, it always will be, but I can’t help feeling it’s lost a little of the magic it used to have. The café has always had a limited menu, which we’ve accepted as part of the charm, but this time we had a rather unfriendly chef and a very wilted salad, which was a first for us. Housekeeping is still good, but not quite at the old high standard (a quick look behind the cushions says a lot). And the caravans themselves are beginning to feel a bit tired and dated now. It’s still a wonderful place, and we’ll always have a soft spot for it, but I do hope it isn’t slipping into decline.

We travel alot in our motorhome, saw Silverdale and looks great so book it.Sadly being disabled snd in wheelchair it is not suitable.We have a large motorhome 7.4m so we parked up in bay 9 lovely sea view. Unfortunately no phone signal no TV signal even plugged into there ariel. and no Wifi (and we have on board Wifi) We went for tea in restaurant fish and chips which I may say was beautiful service great and table nice and clean when .finished no one came to clear our table i did notice 2 other tables of 2 left dirty also people waiting for plates to be cleared .We left so you lost a desert sale. Drove back Pitch was taken (stayed on many sites and once you are given your pitch you dont need to worry it's yours for your stay as you pay exrra for fully service pitch which we did ) Spoke to lady who said that the pitch is not deemed your pitch and no guarantee even with reserve sign out which for us is not good with wife being in wheelchair.( the only reason we drove to restaurant was big hill from pitch to restaurant and there was a large overflow car park to unload wheelchair safely was too far for me to push my wife being disabled myself ) Now had to find new pitch which we did at the top near toilets. Stayed 1 night there. NO TV:Signal No phone signal and not even Holgates Wifi kept cuting in and out. So we left a day early as when disabled in wheelchair you need to have some sort of enjoyment which sadly very limited due to location, and not have to worry about going out for day and coming back to pitch taken, we did notice people putting chairs onfront of there pitch and people ignoring it moving them and parking up
