About The Pinewood Hotel
Wexham Park Lane puts The Pinewood Hotel within easy reach of Slough's transport links, along with nearby pubs, restaurants and entertainment for anyone wanting to head out in the evening. Free on-site parking makes it a practical base whether you're passing through or staying a few nights.
The hotel has 48 rooms, with air conditioning, free WiFi and the option of drinks brought to your room. Communal spaces include a bar, a garden, meeting rooms and a lift, and the property also hosts weddings and offers childcare, making it suited to more than just overnight stopovers. Some rooms can be noisy, and general upkeep has been flagged as inconsistent in places, so it's worth bearing in mind if a quiet, polished room is a priority.
The restaurant is one of the stronger points, with breakfast and burgers singled out as particular highlights, and staff are generally described as attentive and willing to help. Between the on-site dining and the pubs and restaurants nearby, there's a reasonable spread of food options within easy walking distance.

What guests say
We have just had our wedding here on the 30th may 2026 and wow what an amazing day it was from start to finish! Everyone ran as it should and was set up perfectly how we wanted it. The honeymoom suite was beautiful and the venue in general is perfect for anyone hosting an event or celebration. We would like to thank all staff at the pinewood hotel including the bar/kitchen staff and to all of those who helped make our day special. We would like to say a huge thankyou to Rienna the event coordinator for everything she has dome from the second we met right up until the big day! She is lovely and did us proud. We also would like to thank omar our on hand man for toasts, serving, announcing and also getting us down the aisle and always smiling and happy. Also we would like to thank the resident DJ simon for bringing the party together and thankyou all so so much our guests loved it and all had an amazing day at the pinewood hotel.

The worst nights sleep I have ever had in my life. We arrived in a red alert heatwave, it was 36 degrees only to be told the air con didn’t work. We were given one old fan for the room but it was unbearably hot. The hotel is next to an extremely busy road so opening the windows meant we heard the noise from that at night. Not only did the air con not work, the lift had broken too so we had to lug our stuff up the stairs in the heat, the mini fridge in the room didn’t work so no where to put cold drinks. The hairdryer also kept breaking and mattresses were lumpy & thin. The fan in the bathroom also didn’t work. When we arrived the hotel was hosting a prom which didnt work alongside guests staying as the teenagers were right outside the rooms so we could hear them at night when we had to be up early for a really important job the next day hence why we were staying at this hotel. It also made parking really difficult for us. It’s clear to me the hotel puts money before guest experience / comfort because during a literal red alert heatwave their priority needs to be sorting the air con. Really they shouldn’t have opened to guests in such dire circumstances. It’s just cruel.

Extremely loud noise all night until 2am. Only given notice a week in advance about music playing due to wedding event. Unable to book any other accommodation at such short notice and no refund offered. No precaution to ensure we were in a room away from the event. In fact, we were put right above it. No event manager present so the event guests were left to basically run riot. Dirty plastic cups and tissues lining the hallways. Lots of shouting outside the window and people banging on our door. Hardly slept. Also extremely warm in the room as AC not working. Worst part was the complacency, incompetency and absolute lack of care from staff. Lied to repeatedly, it was like talking to a brick wall. Rude and not willing to help or show any empathy. I have since seen other reviews with the same complaints. They clearly do this a lot and are used to the complaints but do not wish to take any action to rectify this and help guests. They should not book other guests when an event is on but they have made it clear that all they want is your £££. Book elsewhere. Absolute nightmare. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

When booking I thought the rate was reasonable for somewhere to stop for one night, and the pictures looked good. Maybe some rooms are OK, but the further you go from reception, the worse the hotel seems to get. We stayed on the hottest night of the year. There is no air con so even with the window wide open it felt like the gates of hell, and overlooking the main road so there was no chance of sleep due to the noise. I called reception (from my mobile) and asked if we could switch rooms but was told this wasn't possible because we had already been into the room. The hotel is a 2* at best. Our room was shabby and dated with multiple stains on the carpet, dirty window and stains in the bathroom. Wouldn't recommend staying here.
