Oddwell Cottage is a 400-year-old stone building adjoining the caretaker's cottage in countryside on Exmoor's eastern edge, near Taunton. The property has two bedrooms upstairs—one with a king bed, one with three linked singles—plus a bathroom and separate toilet. Downstairs, the living room centres on an inglenook fireplace with its original bread oven, framed by oak beams; a sofa bed offers a third sleeping option. A dining room and fully equipped kitchen complete the ground floor. One dog stays free, and the cottage has a garden with furniture and on-site parking.
The kitchen comes with a range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine, so you can cook and manage laundry as you would at home. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and electricity are included; logs for the woodburner are available locally. The steep spiral stairs and creaky bedroom floorboards are part of the building's age and character. Shops and a pub lie 4 miles away. The coast at Blue Anchor Bay is 9 miles; Clatworthy Reservoir, with fishing, is 3 miles. The Quantock Hills lie to the east, and Minehead and Dunster are within easy driving distance for day trips.
