Russet Lodge sits in Somerton, on the edge of the Somerset Levels with Glastonbury within reach. This is countryside that opens up—flat, water-meadow land dotted with apple and pear trees, wildflower meadows crossed by paths. The lodge itself is ground floor throughout, which means no stairs to negotiate with bags or children.
Inside, you have a kitchen with electric cooking, an open-plan living space with a wood-burner, and three bedrooms (one double, one cabin double, one twin) served by a single bathroom. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with electricity. Outside, the private garden includes a patio, a wood-fired pizza oven, a fire pit, barbecue and seating—the kind of setup that turns an evening outdoors into the main event. There is parking on site and one well-behaved dog is welcome.
The wider estate has shared facilities: a games room with pool table, table football and tennis table. For a different pace, the orchard and meadow offer quieter corners. Smoking is not permitted in the lodge.

Wonderful accommodation. Very well designed 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom lodge with hot tub. Lots of great storage, spacious, comfortable, everything where you need it. West facing terrace with hot tub overlooking fields. Very private. Fairly remote location, but in a lovely village. Approx 15 minutes from Glastonbury and Street, 30 minutes from Wells. A few National Trust properties close by. Excellent value. Will definitely return.

Great secluded lodge with a private hot tub, perfect for a quiet break, a girls weekend or a family holiday. A home from home with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. Local pubs and shops and lots of nearby things for all to do. We’d happily return!!

Been here for Monday to Friday break. We were met on arrival by the owner. A lovely chap. When entering the cabin we were surprised by the size. It's got plenty of space for a family of 4 without any issues. The lodge was clean and tidy. The kitchen is well equipped with almost everything you could need including enough dishwasher tabs for the days you stay and washing machine taps aswell. Only thing be needed extra would be some tongs and a few baking trays. The view out the front windows on to the deck are amazing. We were greeted each morning my some cows as they seem to be heading for breakfast. This was something the kids loved each morning going out side to say high and give them a stroke. The hot tub is easily big enough for a family to use and set at a nice temp 40c. I would highly recommend a stay here really comfortable and quite. You occasionally get to see some navy choppers and planes fly over in the day time which is an added bonus in my mind.

Had a lovely stay in lodge no.2, lovely, clean, modern lodge. Beautiful sunset view from the hot tub at night. Perfect place for a quiet getaway with only 2 lodges on site, enjoyed the company of the cows in the field and the picturesque views. Free WIFI available in the lodge with a smart TV to watch Netflix on too. Would highly recommend especially if you are a couple looking for a quiet hot tub getaway.
