About Glastonbury Wild Glamping

Tucked into a wildflower meadow with uninterrupted views of Glastonbury Tor, this intimate glamping spot offers just a handful of spacious 18-foot yurts with India-inspired interiors and wood-burning stoves. The real draw is the natural wild swimming pond – perfect for a bracing dip while gazing at that iconic hill. A small communal kitchen (complete with hob, fridge and all the essentials) encourages sociable outdoor cooking, though you'll need to pick up supplies in Glastonbury, a 15-minute drive away.

Inside, kingsize beds are positioned so you can watch the sunset over the Tor without lifting your head from the pillow. The site itself is peaceful and remote, part of a larger private property, so you'll have the yurt field, facilities and that dreamy pond largely to yourselves. Note that the surrounding land remains off-limits. The Tor itself is only ten minutes by car if you fancy the climb, and the Somerset Levels spread out in every direction – ideal for walkers, wildlife-watchers and anyone ready to properly switch off.

What a delightfully serene location. A real opportunity to relax, reset, and ground oneself in nature. The views across to Glastonbury Tor are stunning, and the bathing pond is perfect after a long hike or bike ride. With plenty to do locally, I enjoyed a long ride into the Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge, countryside walks with glimpses of the Pyramid Stage, visits to local pubs and folk sessions, and plenty of rest and relaxation. I couldn’t recommend Sarah & Fin’s place highly enough.

We lay in the big comfortable bed watching darkness descend over Glastonbury Tor. The night before we swam in the pond, amidst the damselflies and dragonflies and watched the sun sink down behind it 🤗 just glorious - beautiful yurt, lovely outdoor kitchen, shower and compost loos. Nice touches like fresh flowers and a bottle of apple juice. We met Finn, Sarah and Andrew who were all friendly and helpful. I'd definitely go again 😁

I stayed here last week for a 2 night getaway on my own. I had the 'Tilly' yurt and although the photos looked amazing, nothing can prepare you for seeing it in real life. The yurt is truly the best of both worlds and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. You get a private area with a fire pit and table with chairs. As there is only 2 yurts it's very peaceful but the sound of sheep bleating will keep you company. There is a compost toilet for each yurt, a shared kitchen and showers. I was very lucky with the weather so decided to have a dip in the lake to cool off. It's also an idyllic place to watch the sunset with a view of Glastonbury tor sat on the jetty with your feet in the water. As I was there on my own I needed help from the hosts a few times. I met Fin who runs the site and his mum. They are both so friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and that I had everything I needed. If you're a non driver like me it's roughly a 25 minute walk to the nearest shop in Boltonsborough in one direction and the same to the bus stop in West Pennard in the opposite direction. I will definitely be coming back, see you soon guys 👋
