About The Middlewick
The Middlewick sits at the foot of Glastonbury Tor on a former working farm that has welcomed visitors on this spot since 1656. Since the 1980s the farm buildings have been steadily converted into a self-catering holiday resort spread across sixteen acres of gardens and paddocks, offering one of the more unusual upmarket stays in the area.
Sixteen individual properties are available, from historic stone cottages converted from farmhouses and barns and sleeping between two and eight people, to modern wooden cabins for couples and glamping pods with decked fronts for a simpler stay. Every property is self-catering, and many are dog-friendly, with free high-speed Wi-Fi and EV charging points available throughout the grounds.
On site, guests have access to an indoor swimming pool, steam room and a full spa with treatment rooms converted from shepherd's huts, plus a yoga studio for those looking to combine a Glastonbury visit with genuine relaxation. An award-winning café and farm shop serves breakfast and lunch daily, and the extensive gardens and paddocks make this a particularly good base for families or groups wanting space, while remaining a short walk or drive from the Abbey and high street.

What guests say
Love the intimacy of this spa and the fact that is is never overcrowded, so feels like you almost have the place to yourself. The new sauna is a great addition with stunning views. Pool and steam room both great to switch between but perhaps it could do with a hot tub too if I could suggest anything! I love the relaxing area where you can sit quietly and read with a blanket and the offer of drinks is a really nice touch. There are plenty of lunch choices and what I had was delicious! My massage was really lovely and going over to the shepherds hut is unique and really nice and cosy Thank you for a lovely spa day 😍

Lovely welcome at the spa, excellent hot stones massage. Becky listened to me and concentrated on the areas I had specified with just the right amount of pressure. A really relaxing experience - thank you

Wonderful holiday. The staff at the cottages were wonderful, very helpful, informative and a delight to talk to. As we stayed there was a thunderstorm and our kitchen got damaged and the electricity stopped working, no ones fault. One of the ladies; Abbie as well as a man (sorry didn't catch his name) came to check on us and moved us into one of the other cottages. The pool was lovely and open and at the perfect temperature for the heat we had. The Tor and town centre were not far at all and overly we had a lovely holiday. Special thanks to Abbie and the man who helped us in the storm and for Sarah for showing us around and making us feel welcome. The other ladies who worked there were also delightful.

The experience from start to finish was just wonderful. We were greeted by the kindest lady who took the time to show us around and make us feel comfortable. She really made us feel that nothing was too much trouble and that our relaxation was of the utmost importance. The therapists were so friendly and the massages were just perfect! A wonderful and relaxing day overall and one that I'd highly recommend.
