Viaduct Fisheries - Lavender

Photo: Viaduct Fishery

Viaduct Fisheries - Lavender opens onto a single ground-floor layout where the living, dining and kitchen areas flow together as one space. Three bedrooms, each with twin beds, and two shower rooms mean there's enough comfort for six people without the cramped feeling of a converted attic or split levels. The kitchen has an oven, hob, dishwasher and full-size fridge, so proper cooking is possible. A 40-inch TV and patio doors leading to your own garden with furniture complete the picture.

The lodge sits within a small complex on working fishery grounds, surrounded by natural landscape shared with other properties on site. Parking for three cars is on site. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are covered. The setting suits families or groups wanting a quiet base away from town bustle, though Somerton's pubs and shops are within walking distance, and Street's outlet shopping is a 10-minute drive. Glastonbury is 20 minutes away. Note that the grounds contain six unfenced lakes. Smoking is not permitted.

Wow, what an absolute gem to find. Suitable for my son to fish, me to work a bit and then relax in the hot tub. The cabin was immaculate, beautiful and had everything we needed. The beds were so comfy - the best I've ever experienced with Air BnB! The hot tub was spotless and in great condition; the grounds are simply a little treasure tucked in the peaceful countryside - you can tell everything is so well maintained. Helen and Steve were so helpful and really took care of us - it was like being with family. Then you have Sally and Ed who are amazing and their hard work did not go unnoticed - thank you! We could not have asked for a more peaceful little break. Over 3 days my son caught 24 fish, totalling 208lbs... he was delighted - and exhausted! We will definitely be back - how could we not!
