West Knole - Stable View

Photo: Self-Catering Barns at West Knole House

This former barn conversion retains the character of its agricultural heritage while offering modern comfort. Built behind a thatched cottage in the village of Knole, it's a two-bedroom property sleeping four, with a ground-floor master bedroom featuring a king-size bed and en-suite shower, and an upstairs twin room (which can be arranged as a double on request). An open-plan living area on the ground floor contains the kitchen, dining space and lounge, with the essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi—all included. One car can be parked on site.

The property sits within working farm grounds where guests encounter horses, chickens, dogs and cats. An enclosed patio and garden area with seating and a barbecue overlook these surroundings. The location puts Langport within easy reach, a market town with independent shops, cafés and pubs, while the River Parrett and Parrett Trail offer riverside walks and wildlife-spotting. One well-behaved pet can stay free of charge. The property is non-smoking. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

We've just had a 4 night stay in Stable view. This is for everyone who enjoys good quality accomodation. Set in lovely gardens with their paddock alongside, and the pretty village is very peaceful. Lots to see in the area including including several National Trust properties. Friendly dogs, horses, chickens, oh, and the hard working owners are included too! Hope to stay again. Fully recommended.

This accommodation was clean, cosy and welcoming. We had a lovely two, night stay here and couldn’t have asked for better hosts, they were amazing, friendly, and incredibly welcoming from the moment we arrived. This was a last-minute booking, but we thoroughly enjoyed every moment and already can’t wait to visit again. And of course, the three adorable four-legged friends were the perfect addition, giving us the warmest welcome.
