Winsford

Winsford is an upside-down cottage carved from The South Barn, a converted stone farm building. Ground floor holds both bedrooms—a double and a twin—plus a bathroom and separate toilet. Climb the stairs (with a safety gate at the top) to reach the upper living space, where a large picture window frames fields and the Avill Valley beyond. The open-plan layout combines living area, dining space and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and all the essentials. One dog is welcome.

Everything you need is supplied: electricity, heating via the farm's biomass system, bed linen, towels and wifi. The property sits among shared facilities that justify the space—a heated indoor pool with jacuzzi, table tennis and pool tables in the games room, a tennis court and children's play area. A large car park lets you unload at the door. The cottage suits families or two couples after a break in the Somerset countryside. No smoking indoors.
