Cherry Cottage is a two-bedroom ground-floor cottage on the Somerset-Dorset border, near Crewkerne. The entire property is yours alone. Both bedrooms and the wet room are at ground level, with a wood burner warming the living room and a full kitchen including dishwasher and washing machine. A lawned garden with patio and barbecue opens onto shared natural grounds across an acre. On-site parking fits two cars. One dog stays free.
The cottage sits away from the main road but within two miles of a shop, pub and restaurant. Beaches are thirteen miles south. The location works well for exploring both counties: Forde Abbey and its gardens lie nearby, while Wells, Bath, Glastonbury and the Jurassic Coast are all within reach by car. Closer still are the Haynes Motor Museum, Yeovilton's Fleet Air Arm collection, and various nature reserves. Locally there is fishing, golf and country pubs. Firewood for the burner is included, as are wi-fi, electricity, bed linen and towels. No smoking indoors.

Excellent place for a relaxing break and close enough to get to the coast and browse around the different towns

We had an amazing stay in this lovely relaxing cottage for a week. This place has everything you could possibly need and was spotlessly clean. The cottage is surrounded by fields so was so quiet and peaceful with just the birds for company! It is a little drive from most places so you definitely need a car to get about. We did a lot of driving this week, so just bare that in mind when visiting places. We had no problems with the small lanes. Just remember your pulling in spaces if another cars coming towards you! The owners left us a really nice welcome basket which we all enjoyed! You can purchase fresh eggs on site but there is a lovely little farm shop up the road. We really enjoyed lighting the wood burner in the evenings and relaxing trying the local cider! Definitely a little gem!

Lovely, cosy, comfortable, well appointed cottage very much off the beaten track. Wildlife is encouraged and there is a dog friendly paddock where we played football. Footpaths from the property but many fields that footpaths go through are full of cows and not always brilliantly signposted. Once the track from the property has been navigated, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach. Very much enjoyed the stay and the accommodation.

We love this cottage 😊 it's remote so we have peace and quiet when we want it! If we want to go out for a bite, we are not far away from great food and a fab base for sight seeing too. You just can't go wrong.
