Then you'll be in your element at North Down Orchard, a small family-run farm five minutes' drive from Crewkerne where camping pitches nestle among 40 acres of working apple orchards. The farm practises regenerative agriculture with hundreds of newly planted trees, so you'll wake to wildflowers, hedgerows and birdsong rather than manicured grass rows.

Environmental credentials are genuinely impressive here: solar panels provide electricity and hot water, composting toilets minimise water use, and facilities employ recycled materials wherever possible. The on-site Cider Barn pours the farm's own cider, while Basement 17 Tacos serves up food, and on weekends Streetwraps and Ethic Street Pizza roll in. Couldn't recommend North Down Orchard more highly, we had such a special stay there. The bell tents are perfect and the field kitchen is really well set up. David the owner was super helpful and we all loved being able to visit the cider barn too. A beautiful location and really well set up campsite, we will definitely be back.

Lovely place! We attended a VW show here and loved every minute ute of it. The camping sites were amazing and really beautiful. The cider bar was really great, rustic and fun. I would absolutely visit again

An absolutely glorious long weekend camping here with our family. Welcoming owners, peaceful beautiful campsite, and live music, food and drink in the Cider Barn. We had a great time and will definitely be back. Can't beat this view from the tent! Look forward to seeing you all (including Raleigh) again soon!

We had an amazing time staying in the furnished bell tent. The kids loved the owners dog, who liked to join us by our pit fire. He liked a good belly rub! Having electric in the tent & in the shared kitchen area made a huge difference when cooking & having the important cup of tea & coffee. The area the tents are in was beautifully thought out. The kids played on the tree swing & enjoyed the freedom of being able to explore the orchard. Cider was top notch as was the apple juice. All made on the site. Fridge/ freezer, microwave, toaster, hob, sink , kettle in the tent with tea & coffee tray, a light in the tent , running water , couldn't have asked for more. Lovely friendly owners. Will definitely be back. And 100% recommend
