Harbour Cottages - The Harbour Nook

The Harbour Nook occupies the ground floor of a building right at the water's edge in Dunure, South Ayrshire. Its position on the harbour front means views across to Arran and Ailsa Craig, and sunsets that draw people back year after year. Two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with two singles—share a shower room, and both look out over the water. The living room centres on a wood burner, stocked with initial logs, and has a smart TV for quieter evenings.

The kitchen comes fully equipped to cook proper meals: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge-freezer are all there. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included. One dog stays free. An enclosed rear garden with seating faces away from the road, and parking is available outside. Smoking is not permitted.

The cottage sits on the Ayrshire coastal path, so walking leads directly into Culzean Castle Estate and down towards Maidens and Turnberry. The area holds red squirrels, otters, seals and abundant birdlife. Girvan, a few minutes' drive away, has boat trips out to Ailsa Craig and a leisure centre with a pool. Turnberry golf course and its dining and spa facilities are about 10 minutes by car.
