Foremark Cottages - Foremark Threshing Barn
South Derbyshire

Foremark Threshing Barn accommodates groups of up to 14 across four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The conversion retains the barn's character—original roof timbers frame a full-height atrium above the dining area, and a galleried landing overlooks the space. Four bedrooms provide flexible sleeping arrangements: the first contains a kingsize and two singles; the other three each have two kingsize beds. This layout suits extended families or friends gathering for a substantial stay in rural South Derbyshire, close to the edge of the National Forest.
The ground floor centres on a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch, with a dishwasher and separate utility space. French windows from the dining room open onto a shared garden with a paved patio, seating and a barbecue. The living room has a television and DVD player. Electricity, bed linen and Wi-Fi are included; oil central heating keeps the barn warm. Travel cots and a highchair are available. Parking accommodates four cars on site. The property is no-smoking; one dog is welcome.
The barn stands on the edge of what was the Foremark Hall Estate, a Georgian-Palladian country house now Grade I listed. Local walks radiate from the property, and a shop and pub lie a mile away. Note that the barn has open and steep internal stairs.
