Anchor Cottages - Smugglers Haunt
South Hams

Families and larger groups will find Smugglers Haunt works well for a seaside break. The cottage sleeps seven across three bedrooms—a double, two singles, and a further single—with a sofa bed in the living room if needed. One small dog can come along. The single bathroom has a bath with shower, and the kitchen is equipped for self-catering with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Wifi, bed linen and towels are included; heating and electricity are metered separately.
What makes the location special is the proximity to the beach: you're within 100 yards of a sandy cove backed by wooded cliffs. The village itself—with thatched cottages, inns, restaurants and a shop—sits within easy walking distance. The South Devon coastal footpath runs through the area, connecting Hope Cove north to Salcombe and south to Thurlestone, both accessible for day trips. Salcombe is particularly known for sailing and has further beaches and restaurants; Thurlestone, two miles west along the path or by car, offers more sand and a cliff-top golf course. There's dinghy launching 200 yards away if you're interested in water sports, and facilities for larger boats nearby. The cottage has a back garden with furniture and parking for one car on site. No smoking is permitted indoors.
