The Shippen comes ready for a proper stay. Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, along with Wi-Fi. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer—you can cook as much or as little as you want. There's a woodburner in the living room if you need it on cooler evenings, and a tumble dryer tucked under the stairs. Two bathrooms mean less queuing in the mornings. One dog is welcome, and the property has a travel cot and highchair if you need them.
The three bedrooms sleep eight across a mix of double and single beds. You get the whole place to yourself, with on-site parking for two cars and enclosed front and back gardens with patio and barbecue. East Prawle sits in the South Hams, and the rugged coastline is a ten-minute walk along quiet lanes and footpaths. This is proper walking country—long stretches of coastal trail, hidden coves, and the kind of views that make you understand why people come back to Devon. The Pig's Nose Inn is in the village, running live music on some nights, along with a shop and café that open seasonally. Families find the nearby beaches manageable, and dog owners will find the whole area accommodating year round.
