Henrys Retreat

Henrys Retreat is a single-storey property in rural Lincolnshire, nine miles from Grantham, surrounded by open fields and substantial gardens. Everything is on ground level: two bedrooms (one kingsize, one with singles), a bathroom with both bath and walk-in shower, plus a sitting room, dining room and kitchen with breakfast area. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are all included, along with a welcome pack and complimentary treats for dogs.

The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and microwave. There's a woodburning stove in the living room, a Smart TV and DVD player for evenings in, and a heated towel rail in the bathroom. Outside, a large lawned garden has a patio, sitting-out area with furniture, and a barbecue, though note there is an unfenced pond about ten yards from the property. Up to one dog stays at no extra charge. Three cars can be parked on site, and smoking is not permitted.

The location works well for touring: Belvoir Castle, Stamford, Lincoln and Rutland Water are all within reach for day trips, while the Norfolk coast is roughly an hour away. Locally there are good walks and cycling straight from the door, country pubs within three miles, and shops including a butcher and fish merchant that deliver. A shop, pub and restaurant are three miles distant.
