What guests say
Visited today with my wife and mother‑in‑law, and we were all genuinely impressed. The pub itself is beautiful, with lovely grounds that make a great first impression. We chose to sit in the bar area, which had a brilliant atmosphere—relaxed, welcoming, and with great music that added to the vibe without being overpowering. The staff were super friendly from the moment we arrived, striking that perfect balance of being attentive and genuinely nice. Drinks were reasonably priced, and the Sunday Roast was excellent from start to finish. Every course—from the starter right through to dessert—was full of flavour and clearly made with care. All three of us left happy, full, and already talking about when we’ll be returning. A great spot for a Sunday meal or a relaxed drink in a lovely setting.

A huge thank you to the team at the Griffin for making our special day very special indeed. Jamie and Lou helped organise everything so that it ran super smoothly. Chefs Jordan and Kelly produced fantastic food that all enjoyed, catering to allergies and preferences and delighting even our pickiest of guests. Beautifully appointed rooms at the inn for those who stayed the night and a full English the next day. If you're in the area you should really visit, if you're not in the area - make a special trip!

We stopped by for Sunday Lunch on 22nd March 26. We had been a year before for a Friday evening and wanted to go back for either the beer festival or Sunday lunch. Absolutely fantastic food. They were very busy and service were trying hard but forgetting a couple of things, but it won’t put us off. Lovely village, very nice, clean pub. Food and drink choice very good. Moving up to one our favourite places to go locally.

We didn't actually stay there but we met with friends who were staying there and had a meal in the garden. It seems like a lovely place and all the staff were very welcoming. Sir Jamie was onsite during our visit and was a very charming chap.
