Punch Tree Lodge is a standalone cabin on the Mauldslie Estate near Carluke, designed for two adults – children under 18 are not accommodated. The entire ground-floor space is yours: an open-plan living and dining area with a woodburner, a kitchen with induction hob and full-size fridge, a bedroom with a king-size bed, and a separate shower room. Essentials including electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided, along with initial fuel for the stove.
Outside, a private patio has garden furniture, a fire pit and barbecue, plus a two-person wood-fired hot tub. There is parking for two cars on site and a bike store. The cabin sits within woodland grounds that include redwoods and offer quiet spots to sit or walk; the historical Mauldslie Castle overlooks the estate. No smoking is permitted inside.

Very sad to be leaving Punch Tree Cabins today, My partner and I have had an amazing weekend! The Cabin itself is in an absolutely beautiful location, its clean, comfortable and the perfect size for a couple. We were lucky to have some amazing weather to enjoy the beautiful scenery and gardens too. Although the cabins are in the owners gardens its very private and secluded. Jo is absolutely lovely and cant do enough for you, As far as hosts go .... she's top of her game! The outdoor bath is unreal, We love a hot tub but theres something more relaxing and sereen about an outdoor bath tub, not hearing the hum of the jets and just listening to the birds and nature. The absolute highlight of the trip though has been Archie and Jake (the 2 loveliest little dogs) they're the sweetest boys! coming to say hi and give cuddles and kisses. If youre not an animal lover then this Cabin isnt for you.... We however would come back just for them! We will 100% be returning and we can't wait! thank you Jo 🖤

We absolutely loved staying here. Not only are the cabins stunning and have everything you need to feel settled in, you're surrounded by 5.5 acres of gorgeous, completely private land. It's so peaceful I genuinely didn't want to go back home. But back to reality I went, dreaming of this absolutely wonderful hidden treasure, and the lovely owner who takes such pride in the service they provide. Highly recommend Punch Tree Cabins if you're looking for something peaceful and cosy to stay with plenty of nature things to explore. Oh, and the Swedish tub was just incredible. We'll be back again soon!

So glad I chose this place for a couple nights away with my boyfriend! We loved that there aren't loads of pods like other places we've stayed. Just lovely views, dreamy gigantic trees and peace and quiet. The tub was amazing! Cabin cosy and homely. Host Joanne made us feel right at home too. Already planning next time!
