Chet Valley Vineyard is a 200-metre walk away, and from Gosling Barn you can step straight into a network of scenic paths and quiet lanes that thread through the surrounding countryside. Norwich lies 8 miles off, if you want a day in a proper city. The barn itself is a single-storey conversion designed for two, with everything on one level: a bedroom with a king-size bed, an ensuite shower room, a kitchen with electric cooking, and a sitting room with a Smart TV for when the weather turns.

The kitchen is properly equipped for cooking, with a hob, oven, dishwasher and fridge. There is parking for one car on site. A shared patio with garden furniture looks out over fields, and it is a legitimate spot to sit outside with a book or a glass of something local. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi—are included. No smoking is permitted in the property.
