Waterloo Place - The Farmhouse

South Norfolk's countryside around Norwich draws families and large groups looking for space to spread out. Waterloo Place – The Farmhouse is a Grade II listed property that combines period character with the practicalities of modern group accommodation. Nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms allow guests to retreat when they choose, while shared living areas encourage everyone to gather. The estate runs to 4 acres, with lawns, a decked platform overlooking a pond, and various seating zones throughout the grounds.

Inside, the ground floor holds a living room with woodburner and pool table, a second sitting room, and a kitchen with a range cooker and dishwasher opening onto a courtyard. Bedrooms vary: some have super king beds (6ft), others kings (5ft) or doubles, plus a few rooms with singles. Most bedrooms have an ensuite or nearby shower room; a couple of bathrooms are shared. The essentials – heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi – are covered, along with initial fuel for the fire and a welcome pack.

The standout feature is the private indoor heated swimming pool (8m × 4m), accessible 08:00 to 20:00, plus a sauna and steam room on the grounds. Parking for ten cars is on site. The property does not permit smoking. There is an unfenced pond in the grounds, which guests should be aware of when planning activities.
