South Norfolk's countryside surrounds Waterloo Place – The Retreat, a single-storey property on extensive grounds shared with two other holiday lets. The village sits within reach of Diss, Attleborough and Wymondham, each with shops and restaurants, while Norwich city centre is 19 miles away. Thetford Forest Park and the Norfolk Broads lie further out for day trips, and Southwold's beach and pier are about 29 miles south.
The Retreat itself is compact and open-plan: a bedroom with a king bed, shower room, and combined living and dining space on one level, with a kitchen equipped to cook properly. The grounds offer a garden seating area and barbecue. What sets it apart is the private heated indoor swimming pool (8m by 4m, available by booking 2-hourly slots), along with an exclusive sauna and steam room. One car can park on site. Essentials including electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are covered.
The layout suits couples or solo travellers avoiding stairs. Check-in is after 15:00 and checkout before 10:00. The grounds contain an unfenced pond. No smoking is permitted in the property.

Had a wonderful break at this property absolutely stunning peace and quiet. The house is beautiful and quirky. All facilities were to hand with the bonus of the indoor pool which we all enjoyed a swim finished off the day for us all. I would like to add a Big THANKYOU to the manager at the cottage Who found the my glasses who not only sent my glasses back to me but packaged them with such care! What a service! We will be coming back to stay.
