The Cottage

The Cottage is a thatched building with period character throughout, from its wooden beams to an inglenook fireplace that works on cooler evenings. Two double bedrooms and a shower room sit upstairs; downstairs holds the living room, kitchen with dining space, and shower room. The property is yours alone, with parking for two cars and a bike store on site.

A lawned garden wraps around the cottage, enclosed and fenced, with a patio for outdoor meals. One dog can stay at no extra cost. The essentials are covered—electricity, wifi, bed linen, towels, and logs for the burner. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge for self-catering. Note that there is a fenced stream in the garden, about 11 yards from the house.

Berrick Salome village has a pub within walking distance; Benson, just over a mile away, has shops and everyday amenities. Wallingford is roughly 4 miles off and offers restaurants, cafés and supermarkets. Watlington market town lies just over 5 miles away at the foot of the Chilterns. Countryside walks start from the doorstep. No smoking indoors.
