About Waggon and Horses
Tucked just outside South Reston, Waggon and Horses offers a genuine pub-with-pitches experience that feels refreshingly low-key. The dozen grass pitches – split between electric hook-up touring spots and non-electric tent spaces – sit alongside a welcoming pub serving hearty, homemade fare: think steak and ale pie, proper Sunday roasts, and chips cut on the premises. Value is strong, the atmosphere warm (literally so in winter, thanks to the open fire), and staff strike that balance of friendly without being intrusive.
Dogs are welcome throughout, there's a small on-site shop for essentials, and campfires are allowed – a rarity that adds real charm on cooler evenings. Facilities cover the basics well: showers, toilets, drinking water, and WiFi. It's straightforward rather than fancy, but for exploring Louth and the Lincolnshire Wolds with a proper local base, it hits the mark.

Jean is lovely lady, food amazing. Always enjoy going there. Fab jukebox, pool table, open fire in winter. Lots of parking and great deals for motorhomes too. Highly recommended to all. Drink food, or chilled atmosphere must go to place on main rd at South Reston, Near Louth

Can't comment on the rooms - but dont doubt for a moment it was any less on part with the service we received. It was a pleasure to visit. Staff were excellent and welcoming and food was first class and just how a country pub should be. Excellent price for everything.

We were staying down the road and popped in with our dogs for a pub lunch. Really friendly welcome and they were all so sweet to our dogs. The food was great, and service was fast. It has a little convenience store in the bar area which is really handy. Will be back next year!
