About Lepe Beach Campsite
Tucked between ancient forest and the Solent shoreline, this spacious New Forest campsite delivers a rare mix of woodland walks and direct beach access. Lepe Country Park sits right next door, offering sandy shores, wooded cliffs, and D-Day heritage trails, while the site itself feels refreshingly remote despite being close to Southampton. Pitches are generous, campfires crackle in the evenings, and the on-site homemade pizzas have earned a loyal following among campers who'd rather not cook every night.
Staff are genuinely helpful, facilities are generally clean, though some visitors note they can feel a little stretched during peak times. No dogs are allowed, which keeps the atmosphere peaceful for families. Beaulieu's abbey and motor museums lie fifteen minutes away, while Lymington's Georgian high street and sailing scene are an easy half-hour drive. With kayaking, cycling, and forest trails all within reach, it's a solid base for exploring one of southern England's most scenic corners.

What visitors say
We just stayed for 3 nights and what a wonderful experience. Showers and toilets was very clean for my expectation. It very close to the town so we can hop in the cars and get our takeaway and shopping for every day stuff. 3 mins walk to the beach which is amazing so we dont have to worry about changing, parking and all the headache. Our 7 y/o son loves the whole 3 days and having the hire firepit and the site was so kid friendly. Very well organised and amazing value for money. We will definitely make this yearly trip.

Came for a last minute short break. Site is lovely, perfect location to the beach just a few mins walk. Great views overlooking the sea and into Portsmouth from the campsite. Can get breakfast baps and pizza onsite. Staff are lovely. Have showers/loos/washing up points. Nice to wake up to pheasants outside your tent. Few mins drive from the village where theres tesco and sainsbury as well as some takeaways. Will definitely be back again.

Had a lovely stay here this weekend. Good views from the site. Good facilities, not a fan of the pit style toilets but it's camping and I've experienced a lot lot worse. Things I learned that might be useful to know: The gate shuts at 22:30, meaning if you go out. You will be locked out. The nearest safe place to park is about a mile away, so don't get caught out. Obviously you're there to camp etc and driving a car past people's tents is a bit noisy so I understand, just a tiny bit annoying if you want to do something that finishes later. Pitches aren't marked out, which I liked but it's first come first serve. So get down there earlier in the day or risk awkwardly trying to find a spot at an edge and praying you don't have to be the first to pitch up in the middle haha. This is quite a familial camp site, I would imagine you might encounter some issues if you wanted to have a late night outside your tent. There seemed to be quite regular patrols of the tents throughout the night, probably to check for fires but it seemed like for noise too. The beach is not as nice at high tide, no surprise but I still found it to be nice enough even then. It does have private beach access, it's not too busy and it's lovely being right by the sea camping. I would recommend this place to stay with the above in mind.

Staying here 3 times this summer, beach for kids (aged 1 and 6), lovely play area/park near by with crabbing at a short walk. Watch the cargo ships go by...camp fires allowed and not had an issue yet with noise or cleanliness. Basic campsite yes, maybe in need of a couple more showers BUT what it lacks, it makes up in lovely, friendly, helpful staff (all of them). Gorgeous views and magic memories. A big thank you especially to the kind lady staff member who willingly gave me her own suntan cream, out of her own pocket for my family (as we forgot ours on side at home!). Lifesaver. See you soon Lepe!!
