About Premier Inn Southampton West

Romsey Road runs into Southampton itself, putting Premier Inn Southampton West within easy reach of the city centre, Westquay Shopping Centre, SeaCity Museum and the cruise terminals, while free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward. The hotel spreads across two floors and holds 109 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, drinks available in the room, and accessible rooms on request.

Breakfast is a genuine highlight, with a hot food selection alongside the usual spread, and there's a restaurant and bar on site for other meals and a drink in the evening. Staff are consistently described as friendly and the rooms as spacious, though a number of guests have noted that maintenance can be inconsistent, so it's worth mentioning any issues at check-in.

Beyond the hotel, the surrounding area offers golf, fishing, horse riding and watersports, plus nearby pubs and restaurants for evenings out. The hotel is also well placed for families heading to Paultons Park, making it a practical base whether the visit is for business, a cruise departure or a day trip further into Hampshire.

We visited Paultons Park and stayed overnight so we could enjoy two full days at the park. From the moment we arrived until we checked out, every member of staff was welcoming, friendly, and happy to help. When we arrived, I realised our room was upstairs. Due to my disability, I wasn't able to access it. The staff responded immediately and moved us to a more accessible room without any fuss. The room even had a wet room, which meant so much to me. Because of safety concerns, I hadn't been able to enjoy a proper shower in 18 months, so being able to use the wet room was such a special experience. The room itself was comfortable and well-equipped. We also really appreciated having a good fan in the room, which made our stay even more comfortable. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable and for going above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. Your kindness and excellent customer service made a real difference, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again. We will definitely be coming back here every year when we visit Paultons park. Thankyou

I like Premier Inns as they are functional and have everything you need for a budget overnight stay. The receptionists, both on arrival and the next morning, were friendly and efficient. It did what it said on the tin. However this particulat hotel is looking like it could do with a bit of loving care and attention. Hooks broken, spider's nest on bathroom ceiling, no soap in containers and no loo brush with a stained bowl. All relatively easy to rectify. The breakfast room was heaving with toddlers, due to the hotel's location, but the receptionist assured us that it would be much quieter in half an hour or so. Very kind of him to inform us of that and helpful due to the size of the breakfast room and all hard surfaces making it uncomfortable for my hearing aid wearing husband. All in all a reasonable price for a comfortable bed and a night's sleep. The location was great for us for family reasons and the wild flower garden behind the hotel is pretty to look out over.

This was our second stay at Premier Inn, and once again it did not disappoint. The room was brilliant – clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. A special mention must go to Sharon and Amy, who went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable. We were in the area for a car event, and they even helped us find a hand care wash when we needed it. Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help really stood out and made a big difference to our stay. Fantastic customer service, great facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed 2 nights. Overall good. Breakfast chaotic. First day yoghurt and berries tubs empty and seeded bread ran out, not refilled within a reasonable time. Second day yoghurt tub empty. Croissants empty and had to ask for more, a snappy, will refill when I can. Not enough staff, or inexperienced staff, but they were struggling. Joby the cook managed to stay cheerful, friendly and helpful.
