Beautiful gardens and lake. Children's play area with crazy golf. Garden centre and fairy glen. A lovely little cafe too. Close to small village with shops and pubs. Well worth a visit.

Never been before and, on the hottest day of the year so far, was a little oasis of cool! Lovely gardens with deep shade, sunny corners, dappled woods and plenty of seating. We loved the birds and the young people cleaning the aviaries were very enthusiastoc and informative. The cafe was well stocked but drastically under staffed for the number of visitors waiting to be served which led to much frustration and antipathy. I would certainly visit again.

Nice walk round the grounds. The fernery is small but v cute, kids enjoyed looking at the fish and the little fairy houses. Cafe and run down gift shop could do with a revamp. Aviary, small but lovely selection of parrots and cockatoos etc Toilets are 20p, no card machine, take change. The play area is small but adequate for toddlers and young kids under 8. All in all a nice few hours, free parking and free entry to the aviary and fernery but does need a bit of money spending on it as a bit rundown. Lovely green space though with nice addition of birds and plants to look at x All in all
