What guests say
We had a lovely weekend staying at the Baytree, Guest House, rooms were spotless and couldn't fault anything, Amazing couple that own it, very polite and friendly, couldn't do enough for you. The breakfast was beautiful with all different types of bread. Cloe has thought of everything for the rooms which includes Slippers, Dressing Gowns, Beer fridge @ very reasonable prices, complementary water and chocolates biscuits "yummy". There was even moisturizer for hands legs which was lovely. Would definitely stay there again we are hoping they will have another guest house where ever they might go as we would certainly book with them again. Hope they have Good Luck for their Future in whatever they do, all the very best Paula & Sam (Simon) xxx

A Wonderful welcome awaits, nothing is too much trouble. A fantastic array of complimentary tea, coffee, snacks, biscuits and water in the room. Of all the places we have stayed we have never had such an awesome selection of complimentary toiletries, everything you could possibly need. The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds lovely and comfy. Moving on to the breakfast, there is a brilliant selection of home cooked dishes which you order the day before to enable it to be freshly cooked to perfection. There is also a choice of fresh fruit, cereal and toast with butter and preserves.

This was my 3rd visit to Bay Tree House. We were greeted by Cleo who is a lovely and very caring person who cannot do enough for you. This house is not your usual B&B it’s more like a cosy family run hotel. The rooms are spotless and nicely decorated . The hospitality tray contains everything you would want and more even chocolate and bottled water also milk in the fridge which is all complimentary. There is also small bottles of red, white & rose wine plus cans of gin & tonic these can be paid for by using the honesty box provided. They have a menu for breakfast but we kept to the traditional full English which is so nice and cooked fresh by Cleo’s Husband Leigh who is also a lovely man. You can choose pancakes smoked salmon with eggs cooked any way you want them and more but it is best to let Cleo or Leigh know the day before so always read the information book in your room for options. To start your breakfast there’s cereals, orange juice and fruits such as mixed berries strawberries melon and fresh pineapple and a creamy yogurt that I add to them. Walking out you have the lakes 2 minutes walk away to the right and a 5 minute walk to Lord street to the left. The Station is just 10 minutes walk tucked away in the middle of the high street shops such as Marks & Spencer’s River island etc. Along Lord street there are numerous coffee shops cafés restaurants even a Wetherspoons which is at the far end of Lord street most of them have pavement seating areas. My Niece came for the day and she was so surprised as she had only been with her children to the beach and the fun fair and didn’t know about the rest of it. Sadly the pier was closed for repair which apparently is going to take some time but all in all it’s a lovely traditional seaside resort with the must have fish & chips ( The Old Swan chippy restaurant) and in the evening along Lord Street there are restaurants serving every kind of cuisine . Not much more to be said really except ILL BE BACK
