About Tregenna Castle Resort
Tregenna Castle Resort sits within 72 acres of wooded grounds on a hill directly above St Ives harbour, giving many of its rooms sweeping views over the town and bay below. The Georgian castle building forms the centre of a resort that also includes self-catering apartments and family-friendly lodges spread through the estate.
On-site dining runs through the Godrevy View Restaurant and Olives Bar, and the resort's leisure facilities include an outdoor pool, a spa, and enough grounds to make it feel removed from the town below despite being only a short walk downhill into St Ives itself. Golf, woodland walks and event spaces round out a resort built as much for families and groups as for couples.
Its scale and range of room and apartment types make it flexible for everything from a weekend break to a multi-generational family holiday, with the short but steep walk into St Ives town being the main trade-off for its elevated, spacious setting.

Absolute gem of a place. Everything inside the hotel looks top tier, the carpets look fresh, the decorations are spot on too. The second you walk outside, the smile on your face would quite literally raise because of the stunning ocean views. Moving on, the hotel has a massive jungle themed path walk at the back of it that leads to three of the most beautiful St Ives beaches. Speaking of the jungle it has a lot of its own path walks too, great for exploring. Overall definitely recommend!!

Out of this world location! Fantastic service - nothing was too much trouble. Very comfortable rooms. My son and his husband had their wedding ceremony there and it was a truly amazing experience. Special note goes to Stefan who was an absolute star and who helped in every way possible on the day and to Harriet who brought the whole wedding together with a superb can-do attitude. Outstanding! I would have no hesitation in recommending Tregenna Castle - I will definitely be going there again!

A fabulous position overlooking the bay of St Ives, this hotel has views to die for. The vast gardens are immaculately kept and beautifully manicured. The staff are wonderfully helpful, the rooms are spacious and the breakfast is delicious. There is a pathway that gives easy and beautiful access to St Ives and Porthministers beaches but beware it is steep coming back the same way! We feel so lucky that we were able to stay at this hotel. Highly recommended!

We stayed at one of the self-catering cottages, the Haybarn, for 5 days. The grounds of the resort itself are beautiful and the location is fairly convenient for St Ives. The main problems we encountered, and why we didn’t rate much higher, was that the service was nonexistent. No cleaning, no laundry facilities, no one ever replaced our towels, no restocking the few conveniences they provided in the kitchen (instant coffee, tea bags, sugar packets). The cottage itself was a good size and the floor plan worked for our needs but it was very dated. It was also slightly strange that the very lovely and kind gate security guys were only there until a certain time… like after 5, the main gate to the resort was just left open with no one to make sure random’a aren’t on the property. Didn’t feel very secure.
