Polmanter Touring Park

Polmanter Farm, Halsetown, Saint Ives TR26 3LX, UK

A five-star family touring park a mile and a half from St Ives harbour

About Polmanter Touring Park

Polmanter Touring Park sits in peaceful countryside a mile and a half inland from St Ives, trading beachfront bustle for a greener, quieter setting while keeping the harbour within easy reach by bike, footpath or the regular bus that stops at the entrance. With nearly 300 pitches ranging from electric-only grass to fully serviced hardstanding, plus five safari tents for those who'd rather arrive empty-handed, it's one of the more versatile touring bases in the area. The park has built a strong reputation over many years, and its 4.8 Google rating reflects consistently well-maintained facilities.

Families are well catered for with a twenty-metre heated outdoor pool running through summer, an indoor soft-play and climbing wall, tennis courts and mini-golf. There's an on-site bar and restaurant, a shop stocking Cornish produce and camping essentials, and thoughtful touches like a dedicated dog exercise field with its own shower. The park's popularity means July and August book up well ahead, so plan accordingly if you're aiming for peak season.

This campsite is probably in the top 5 in the UK. By far the best I’ve ever been to. Great facilities, always pristine. A good size swimming pool, tennis courts, play area and a scheduled bus to take you to St Ives town centre and back on a regular basis. It’s pretty dear but if you can cover the cost, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a beautiful site.

We had such a lovely stay at Polmanter Touring Park. It was our first time visiting and also our first motorhome holiday, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The whole site was spotless and clearly very well maintained. The showers were immaculate, and the soft play area was impressively clean, which made a big difference with kids. Everything felt really well looked after. There was plenty to keep the children happy, including a large field for them to run around in, as well as tennis courts and a games room. The atmosphere across the site was so peaceful and relaxing. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool as we were a bit early in the season, but it looked lovely. The food on site was nice and reasonably priced too. What really stood out was how friendly and helpful all the staff were. They made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The location is also fantastic, with a handy little cut-through from the campsite into St Ives. It’s about a 25-minute walk, which was perfect for us. Overall, a wonderful place to stay and a perfect introduction to motorhome holidays. We would definitely come back.

Great campsite. You can walk into St Ives (bit of a trek walking back as all uphill) there is a bus that goes to and from the site. Pool opens end of May. Restaurant/bar is great There is also a games room and park. We came here 30 years ago with our eldest child and revisited just the 2 of us in May and it's great. Definitely will be back, don't know why we've left it so long ! ☺️
