What diners say
This wine bar is a real hidden gem in the area. It has a fantastic wine selection, along with a well-stocked bottle shop, making it perfect whether you’re staying in or taking something home. The atmosphere is lovely; chilled, relaxed, and especially cosy in the evening with its low lighting. It’s the kind of place you could spend hours in, working your way through different wines. The food menu looked fantastic, although I’d already eaten so didn’t get a chance to try it this time. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to help me choose a wine that suited my taste, which really added to the experience. I’ll definitely be back to explore more, especially the food next time.

Loved this place! A really great selection of wine, that our server was helpful and knowledgeable about. Fairly simple food but made with great quality ingredients and was extremely delicious. I’m definitely keen to come again, particularly to sample some more of their delicious wines.

We finally made it, and it was better than expected! Carmen Street Wine is a beautiful spot tucked away from the busy and bustling Stoke Croft area. As the name suggests, they serve wine and great simple food. But we came for the breakfast bun and coffee, and it was glorious. They offer two different breakfast buns. We opted for the meaty one: a soft bun with a perfectly fried egg, homemade hash brown, and bacon, all topped with a delicious plum ketchup. They also serve Bloody Marys, and I saw a cheeky Spanish omelette making its way to the bar, likely for lunch tapas and wine hour. Go and try it! Enjoy sitting outside with sunny views.

New favourite wine spot! Staff are lovely, and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere, and a lot of selection. I also tried the food - grapefruit and fennel salad I believe I had, was banging.
