Families and groups of up to six find plenty of space in The Barn, a converted property on the Lochearnhead road near Stirling. Three bedrooms—one with a king bed, two with singles—and two bathrooms mean everyone has room to spread out. The whole place is yours alone, with Wi-Fi, parking for two cars, and an enclosed garden with patio and barbecue.
The open-plan ground floor has a wood burner, kitchen with dishwasher and all the basics for self-catering, and direct access to the garden. Bed linen, towels, and heating are included. The property draws people who want to be outdoors: boat mooring is less than a mile away on Loch Earn, which is also the hub for water sports including kayaking, paddleboarding and wild swimming. Walking trails begin nearby—the Rob Roy Way and Glen Ogle Trail are close, and there are Munros in the region. Cycling routes pass through, golf courses lie within an hour's drive, and fishing on the loch is possible from local boat hire or your own vessel if you bring one. Lochearnhead village, under a mile away, has cafes, restaurants and a dog-friendly hotel. The property does not permit smoking.

We only stayed one night. But the room was lovely, quiet with a lovely view. The owner was very friendly and when we are back in the area we will book again.

Great location, minutes away from Stirling centre. Very accommodating for dogs. Good room sizes, a little dated, (it may just have been our room), but great value for an overnight stay. Great communication with owners. Thanks 🙂

Highly recommend. Owners kept me updated and good communication. Beautifully clean, no toxic air freshener smells. Bonus small fridge in cupboard 👏👏 The bed is very comfortable, the shower is lovely and hot. Comfortable small couch bedside the sunny window. Great views of the sun setting. I had a ground floor room with very easy access. Sadly ppl on the next level, stomped around a lot even though notice asked to respect others and to be quiet.

I stayed 2 nights in Room #2. The room and bathroom are very clean and warm There's plenty of easy parking spaces. I wish the pillows are fluffy and a chair and table in the room. The blackout curtain was too small to cover the window. The light from the parking lot lit up the room at night. I think the housekeeper probably opened the top window on the second day. So the street traffic woke me up several times on the second night. Luckily, I accidentally brought my eyeshades and earplugs from the airplane.
