About Hampton By Hilton Stockton On Tees
A breakfast spread that stretches to waffles sets the tone at Hampton By Hilton Stockton On Tees, a 128-room hotel spread over seven floors in the centre of Stockton-on-Tees. It sits close to the River Tees and within easy reach of Wellington Square Shopping Centre, making it a practical base for exploring the town on foot.
Rooms are modern and consistently clean, with comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and free WiFi throughout, and family and accessible rooms are available for those who need them. There's a restaurant and bar on site along with a snack bar and outdoor seating, though the evening food menu is fairly limited, so it's worth knowing that ahead of time. A gym, business services, laundry service and chargeable on-site parking with an electric vehicle charge point round out the practical side of things.
The surrounding area suits a mix of interests, with golf, fishing, cycling and walking routes nearby, plus pubs, restaurants and entertainment within easy distance. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, which goes some way towards making up for the more restricted evening dining options.
What guests say
Lovely hotel. The location is very central to a busy area, parking is convenient, the breakfast is very nice (and included!!). As well as this, the rooms are very clean and up to date and the staff were very friendly. The only thing I could negatively say is that check in was quite slow. But other than that, it was utterly faultless. I would 100% recommend staying here

Stayed over the May Bank Holiday weekend while visiting family, and the location was perfect for us. The service was fantastic from start to finish — the staff were so friendly and took the time to interact with our 10-month-old, which made us feel really welcome. They also ensured a cot was set up and ready for our arrival, which was greatly appreciated. The room was very comfortable and would easily have been a 5-star stay. The only small issue was that the reading lights weren’t working properly and made a slight buzzing noise, so it may be worth looking into for future guests. That said, it didn’t take away from our overall experience at all. We visit family in the area around four times a year, and we’ll definitely be staying here each time.

Big delay at check in but dealt with really well by the ladies on the front desk. Room was clean well presented, good view over the river. Car parking was quite good. Really good breakfast, impressive actually considering how busy it was. Very central location if you are going to any of the venues in Stockton.

Decent enough place but rather soulless. The road closure leading to hotel doesn't help the experience as the diversion is poorly signed. However the room was clean, neat and tidy. Rather warm but air conditioning worked and wasnt too noisy. Has the usual, expected facilities ( kettle, hairdryer, iron, etc). Bit skimpy with the tea bags. Check in easy having pre booked but very disappointed to have to pay parking per night stayed. Basic bar available with prices reflecting it's hotel status rather than the area level. Same drink in a pub minutes away well over a pound cheaper. Breakfast usually fare with the exception of the DIY waffles which were more than acceptable. Check out equally as easy as the way in. You come away with the impression that just enough has been done . Nothing to complain about and nothing to complement. Maybe that's the way it is now. There was a rowing regatta happening meters from the hotel and they didn't even know ! Says it all.
