The Jungle Hut

Darren was welcoming and a very calm, knowledgeable ranger. From the moment we arrived, Darren shared his amazing collection of reptiles, insects, amphibians, spiders.... He introduced each species with an explanation about what they were, their characteristics, interesting facts about their habitats, food, predators... Darren modelled how to handle each creature carefully and supported our 9 year old son with great understanding and encouragement. Our private viewing was an hour long and Darren had it carefully planned out to work our way through the jungle hut and visit each species without feeling rushed. We liked the surprise visit from Tank (the tortoise)! We could have stayed there all day! A great experience and highly recommended. Thank you

This place is such a fantastic little hidden gem!! Had my sons birthday party here - had texts from parents after to say their child described it as the "best birthday party ever" and I agree!! Darren and his son were both lovely, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about all their animals! You can tell they have a genuine passion for the animals, and they are very much loved & cared for to a high standard. All of the children had the most amazing experience handling a variety of animals/insects, and even got to feed some of them! The fact that food, party bags, invites etc were all included made it so easy for me, literally just had to turn up with a cake! We will definitely be returning and my son hasn't stopped telling everyone that he is now a jungle ranger 😂 thank you Darren and co!

After visiting for a personal experience, we returned today to celebrate our son's 7th birthday at The Jungle Hut with the animal experience hosted by Darren and his son Ethan, and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! Darren was brilliant with the children – engaging, knowledgeable, incredibly patient, and great at making everyone feel comfortable. The kids loved meeting and learning about the animals, including spiders, lizards and snakes. What really stood out was how respectful Darren was of each child's boundaries. He encouraged participation but never pressured anyone to hold an animal if they weren't comfortable. The party itself was very well organised, with a great food spread that went down a treat with the children. The quality of the party bags was also excellent. Seeing the excitement on the children's faces throughout the experience was wonderful, and our son had the best birthday. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Jungle Hut and Darren for a fun, memorable and unique party experience. Thank you for making the day so special!

My daughter had her 8th birthday party at the Jungle Hut and she absolutely LOVED it - so did all of her friends. Such a perfectly run operation, Darren and Ethan have everything covered; and they were wonderful with a challenging group of chatty children! The animals were fantastic and so calm and gentle - I now feel like I need more of these beautiful little creatures in my life! Thank you again for a truly unique and memorable experience 🥰
