Have stopped here a couple of time now when catching a ferry to ireland. It's great value, and dog friendly. Clean and warm shower block with all other facilities necessary. The owners are eager to help with any requests or queries.

Excellent campsite on the edge of Stranraer. Immaculately clean wash rooms and neat and tidy camping grounds. The owners obviously take pride in their campsite. Met by helpful staff and shown to the Camping Barrel. Conveniently located for local amenities.

Lovely little site with a very helpful owner . Super value . We were heading for the ferry at Cairnryan early next morning and this site is perfectly placed being a 15 minute drive to the port where there is no parking for our 7.5m motorhome. Spotless facilities , lots of room and 10 amp EHU. We'd certainly return and it's an easy site to recommend.

We didn't stay in a room. We stayed in our fully contained motorhome. We paid £20 for a hard standing park-up. There is a shower/toilet block with hot running water. The shower costs 50p for 8 minutes. Also, there is a hairdryer for 20p, wished I'd known as I only took 50p's for the shower. There is also a grey/black water waste area and drinking water. Near here there is a pot wash with hot water and a rubbish waste area. Couldn't ask for any more to be honest. Greeted at reception by the owner who showed us our parking area and explained about the facilities. Could imagine this being very full in the warmer weather. We stayed 27th December and the weather was cold, freezing overnight and was advised to take a shower on arrival if we wanted one as the pipes may possibly freezing the later in the night it got. Cannot fault anything during our stay here. Very pleasant and will definitely return again.
