This former workshop, once used by jewellers on Bidford-on-Avon's high street, has been converted into a split-level home for two. The building retains character throughout: an oak-glazed entrance door opens into a hall with wooden flooring, from which stairs descend to the bedroom and ascend to the main living space. The bedroom is on the lower ground floor with a super king bed, ensuite shower, and French doors to a walled courtyard. Upstairs, the open-plan kitchen and living area has vaulted ceilings and windows overlooking the courtyard towards the River Avon and its 15th-century stone bridge.
The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking, with an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. A utility room with washer-dryer sits on the ground floor. Underfloor heating runs throughout. Essentials like electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included. One well-behaved dog is welcome. The property has private parking for one car on site, and you can arrange electric vehicle charging in advance.
Bidford-on-Avon village lies on your doorstep: the high street has a café, shops, a butcher, pharmacy, restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. The Big Meadow, a 26-acre riverside park, is also close by. The cottage does not permit smoking.
