Berkeley sits in the Vale of Berkeley, where the western edge of the Cotswolds meets open countryside dotted with farms and rural walks. The village clusters around its 12th-century castle, with local shops, a museum dedicated to Dr Jenner, and an adventure farm on the outskirts. Stroud's market town sits within easy reach, as does the Cotswold Way for those who want longer walking routes.
Brook House occupies a corner of the Berkeley Estate, a Grade II listed property that combines original period features with modern comfort. It holds nine bedrooms—six with ensuite showers, three sharing a separate bathroom and shower room—arranged across two floors with a large ground-floor kitchen and dining space that seats eighteen, plus a living room and snug. All essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi included. One dog can stay free.
Outside, a substantial garden opens onto a patio with a barbecue. The whole house is yours alone. No smoking throughout. You'll arrive after 3pm and depart by 10am, with on-road parking available.

Jess and the whole team at Berkeley went above and beyond to make sure every detail and last minute decision worked. They were brilliant at adapting to the changing weather and allowing us to just completely relax for the whole day. Everything was absolutely seamless, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day and all the communication beforehand was supportive and helpful. It was a magical venue for our day and Jess just knew how to use each area to make the most special memories for us and our guests.

We had the most perfect wedding at Berkeley Castle. From the first contact the communication was really faultless. We felt in very safe hands with Jess, the wedding co-ordinator, throughout the wedding planning and on the day. She was really fantastic and such a lovely person to have there on your wedding day. The castle is of course incredible, from the beautiful grounds with stunning borders and wisteria climbing over the walls, to the unique and breathtaking interiors. Our guests really enjoyed the castle tours and the tour guides were absolutely fantastic. It really is the most unique and special place to get married, particularly if you're a lover of history. We have really fallen in love with Berkeley Castle and really look forward to coming back in the future.

We had an amazing wedding at Berkeley Castle. From our first walk around to our wedding weekend, every need was catered for. Jess was great at communicating in the lead-up to the wedding and co-ordinating on the day so everything went smoothly. The staff are so helpful and made our dream wedding happen. It is such an honour to have spent the weekend getting married in Berkeley Castle.

We cannot thank Jess and the Berkeley Castle team enough for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. Nothing is too much trouble and the wedding planning process was made much easier by Jess's calm and friendly approach. The venue is truly something special and we had endless comments about how perfect the setting was (especially the castle tours!)
