Forest Green sits on the edge of Stroud, a market town in a valley landscape where independent shops, cafes and restaurants define the character. Holly Tree Cottage is a period building that sleeps four across two bedrooms and one bathroom, available as a whole property to yourselves. The layout moves through three floors: a ground-floor living room with woodburner and TV, a kitchen with electric cooking and breakfast bar, a first-floor double and bathroom, then a second-floor twin bedroom with desk space. Bed linen, towels and wifi are provided, along with heating and initial fuel for the stove.
Outside, an enclosed front garden faces south and includes a patio, seating area and barbecue. One car can park on site. One well-behaved pet stays free. The cottage does not suit smoking, and is not suitable for children under seven due to steep stairs between floors and a step into the garden. Check-in is after 15:00 and departure before 10:00.
Nailsworth, a short walk away, has pubs, restaurants and independent retailers in what was once a mill town. Minchinhampton Common and the Five Valleys around it offer walking routes through rolling countryside. Stroud itself, ten minutes by car or bus, hosts a farmers' market on Saturdays.
