Middle Huntingford Barns - Bramble Barn

Photo: Middle Huntingford Barn Gloucestershire

The Cotswolds fringe around Stroud offers countryside that feels genuinely remote—25 acres of pasture and meadow where Bramble Barn sits as a restored red-brick structure with original oak trusses and stone floors. The single-storey layout keeps things simple: an open-plan living space with a 50-inch TV, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, a bedroom with a king bed, another with two singles, and a bathroom with bath and shower. One dog can stay free of charge.

Underfloor heating runs throughout, wi-fi is active, and essentials like bed linen and towels are provided. Two cars fit in the private parking area. The enclosed courtyard has garden furniture for sitting outside. A pub and restaurant are roughly a mile away. Charfield Meadow Nature Reserve is nearby for walking. The location works for those wanting to be still as much as for exploring—the Forest of Dean is accessible, as are the spa towns of Cheltenham and Bath, with Bristol and Gloucester within reach for day trips. No smoking inside the barn.

We had a week in Blackberry with our friends nextdoor in Bramble. Both cottages are well-equipped and comfortable. They are down some fairly small country lanes but only a few minutes from main roads and some larger towns and a wonderful farm shop/cafe. There is a great circular walk from the cottage down to the valley floor and alongside the river. The owners are just the other side of a hedge which was useful as we had a fairly extreme weather event which caused some a temporary problems, both fixed the same day .

Last morning of our stay at this excellent barn. The barn is so lovely , everything provided , very cosy and warm , really don’t want to leave . Lots of nice walks nearby and dog friendly . Would highly recommend. We will be back with family who can stay in the adjoining barn !

Lovely spot off the beaten track and great to get out and walk. It is along a very narrow lane which is a bit scary for people used to town driving... but was not a real problem 🙂. Well set up property for a holiday let with plenty of space to relax inside and out.

Stayed in the blackberry barn with our dog, it felt amazing and luxurious, perfect for a romantic weekend away. the shower in itself was amazing but it was also all the little details and the huge super king size bed. Great if you love to have long walks in the country side and a wonderfully warm, spacious and comfortable nest to get back to
