The Cotswolds has no shortage of walking routes, and Stroud sits at the heart of them. From Shepherd's Hut, you're positioned to explore the Cotswold Way on foot, or venture further afield to Gloucester Cathedral and the historic docks—a twenty-minute drive away—where Georgian architecture lines the water and film crews have shot scenes. A pub is less than a mile away if you'd rather not cook.
The hut itself is a single open-plan room with a double bed (4ft 6in), a shower room, and a small kitchen with electric hob and fridge-freezer. There's a sitting area by the window, and the garden has a barbecue and furniture for eating outside. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. One car can park on site. A welcome pack arrives on arrival.
This is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom space sleeping two. Pets stay free. No smoking is permitted inside. Guests arrive after 3pm and depart before 10am.

Lovely well presented and equipped Shepherds hut. Set in a pretty location beside the Butchers Arms pub. Nice welcome touches added by owners who were very friendly and helpful.

Went on a self getaway trip for 2 nights and it was the best experience I’ve ever had. The hut was just amazing. Perfect location with the most beautiful views and so so relaxing. Equipped with everything you need in one small place. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you thank you 🙏🏼

Loved the experience of starting a log burner, including cutting the logs to size. The bed is sooo comfortable. The hut has all you need, inc microwave, hob, toaster, fan, fridge, smart TV, WiFi, log burner, shower and toilet. It's so quiet and peaceful outside the hut. About 2 cars an hour go past the bottom of the field. The only noise we heard that surprised us was a couple of cows in the next field. 😁 Very relaxing.
