Smidge Cottage

Painswick sits at the heart of the Cotswolds, surrounded by walking routes and ringed with independent shops and restaurants. Smidge Cottage is a 16th-century stone cottage here, sleeping six across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The property is yours alone for the duration of your stay, and one well-behaved dog is welcome.

Inside, the cottage spreads over three storeys with period character throughout. A wood-burning stove provides warmth, and there's a private rose garden for summer afternoons. The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering. Electricity, bed linen and towels come as standard. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.

The town's pubs, delis and galleries are within easy reach, and the famous churchyard opposite—with its 99 ancient yew trees—is worth a visit. Smoking is not permitted inside.
