Stable Cottage is thoroughly outfitted for self-catering. The kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washer-dryer and full-sized fridge and freezer, so you can cook from scratch or keep things simple. Upstairs, the open-plan living area has a television with Freesat and DVD, while downstairs both bedrooms and the bathroom are on the ground floor—a king bed in one room, two singles in the other. The roll-top bath and walk-in shower, heated towel rail, gas central heating with underfloor heating in the bathroom, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all provided. There is parking for two cars on site and a small enclosed courtyard with garden furniture.
The cottage sits in a valley at the edge of Uley, opposite the owners' water mill. The Grade II listed building has an unusual layout with bedrooms on the ground floor and the living space upstairs. A water feature sits in the courtyard; there is also a fenced river 20 yards away. The village shop is half a mile away, a pub a mile away and a restaurant two and a half miles away. Stroud town centre and the market town of Tetbury are both nearby, and footpaths from the cottage lead into the Cotswolds. No smoking. Children under 12 are not accommodated except babies under 6 months.
